We Do Transfers!
We’re happy to announce that we can now add transfers—either repeating patterns onto a custom DAFO or a decal-like icon to its posterior. Transfers offer more support for compliance among children, and that’s a key goal in any kiddo’s bracing plan.
Where To Get Transfers
You can purchase your own patterns online from various retailers and wholesalers.
Cascade has quite a few patterns to choose from as well. You can view these patterns at www.cascadedafo.com/options.
There is an extra charge for using transfer patterns. If you supply your own pattern, the charge will be reduced.
How to Send Transfers
- Select your transfer.
Select the pattern of your choice. If purchasing a transfer on your own, send the transfer in one continuous piece using the formula to the right.
- Package the transfer carefully.
Roll the transfer paper: do not fold! Carefully insert the rolled paper completely into a shipping tube,* ensuring the paper is not sticking out of the tube.
* If a shipping tube isn’t handy, the cardboard center tube of a paper towel roll also works.
For successful packaging, follow the hints to the right. - Send the order, paper, and cast.
Note the transfer request in the Special Instructions section of the order form. If using your own transfer pattern, ship it to Cascade with the cast(s). Drop shipments must include the patient’s name or a P.O. number.

W = 5 x foot width
H = foot length + fibular head height + 4 in.
*Double the W x H for each brace ordered
Helpful packaging hints
- Roll, Don't Fold!
Carefully roll the transfer paper, taking extra care not to wrinkle or crease. Every fold and wrinkle will show on the brace. - Slide into Shipping Tube
Be sure the shipping tube is longer than the transfer paper.
