JumpStart Fitting Kits on the Horizon Fitting kits are great demonstration tools. With them, you can easily find the right-sized JumpStart, put a pair on a child during a clinic session and show parents what the braces can do. You can also try out the specific level of support needed by testing the functional differences. Having all of those sizes makes it easier to dial in on the exact fit of a JumpStart—and fit is a key factor in any brace’s functional success. We’ve been experimenting with various forms of the JumpStart Fitting Kit in our own clinical practice, and we expect to have a kit with all sizes, both feet and two widths, available soon for purchase. We are also exploring a travel kit for clinic outreach, containing the most common sizes. Stay tuned!

SmartKnit Socks: New Colors SmartKnit Socks come in black, white, gray and now three new shades: navy, purple and pink. The excitement of new colors may help compliance, and the prices are the same as the others. (The new shades apply to just the seamless AFO socks; the separated-toe AFO socks do not come in pink, purple or blue.)

Optimizations are Here! Our DAFO Optimization Index is complete and available to you for free. It includes the problems, exactly what the optimizations do and when to request them. It is a visual inventory of more than 30 brace optimizations, grouped by challenge. Our New Introduction to Braces We are very happy to announce the publication of a new guide, Introduction to DAFO Braces. Intended for practitioners to show parents, this 16-page booklet covers all of our products. It’s a handy 6 x 8 in. size and a great introduction to what we do and the braces we offer.
