Cascade in the Press A patient of Cascade Prosthetics &Orthotics was recently featured in our local newspaper. Staff from The Bellingham Herald sat in on a nine-year old patient’s casting and DAFO-fitting appointments. They followed him around school and home to see what life is like in his shoes. Staff also came out to the Cascade DAFO production facilities to see the process of making a DAFO. It resulted in a two-part front-page story.

JumpStart Brochure A brand new JumpStart brochure is now available that explains the benefits of JumpStarts as well as what patient groups they serve, how to size and fit them, an overview of their structure, and how to add straps. FlexiSport Our new DAFO FlexiSport is sparking lots of interest. It’s a great DAFO for those who are physically active, providing moderate to strong ankle control yet allowing significant access to DF and PF under weight bearing conditions. Oh, Canada! Cascade is venturing into the Great White North! We’re active in three trade shows in Canada this year. The first, in Vancouver, B.C., was the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) June 3–6, where Cascade exhibited. Later in the summer, we will visit the World Congress of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO), July 29–August 3), also in Vancouver. The American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) has its annual meeting October 10–13, in (you guessed it) Vancouver! It is a truly spectacular city. We hope to see you there.
