New! DAFO FlexiSport™

We are delighted when those who wear our braces are able to be physically active, improving their health and reinforcing their gait with vigorous movement. To support their activities, our new DAFO FlexiSport provides moderate to strong ankle control, especially in larger, active patients.

The frame design allows significant access to dorsiflexion and plantarflexion under weight bearing conditions. It is optimized to flex repeatedly without breakage. We’ve also incorporated the Softy^TM foam liner for dependable foot control and excellent comfort.

Our FlexiSport brace design consists of a relatively thick outer brace shell with a Softy-style foam liner. Fabricated into the posterior of the proximal upright are a pair of cutouts that allow the sturdy proximal frame to flex. The resulting flex motion is smooth with a very natural range of motion. The degree of flexibility is dependent on the thickness of the shell material and the size and location of the cutouts.
